WELCOME TO SONS IN RETIREMENT
LAMORINDA HILLS SIR BRANCH 174

Sons in Retirement (SIR) is a nonprofit, public-benefit
organization consisting of retired and semi-retired men. The main purpose
of SIR is to provide opportunities to make new friends and to participate in activities
we were too busy to enjoy prior to retirement. It is also intended to promote independence
and dignity in retirement. The membership consists of men from all professions,
including business, science, engineering, law, teaching, medical, dental,
transportation, retail, education, construction, manufacturing, first responders, banking,
Armed Forces, and many others.
Membership is open to men retired from full-time occupation, regardless of age,
race, color or religion. There are no dues, fees or assessments. Member
volunteers staff, administer and govern all Branch activities.
Branch 174 is one of over 150 branches of SIR that
meet throughout northern California. Branch 174 members reside predominantly
in the Lamorinda area of Contra Costa County, California (Lafayette, Moraga,
and Orinda) but include members living in Albany, Piedmont, Oakland, Walnut
Creek, Alamo, and Danville.
