Activity Chairman Message
Hi, fellow SIR members,
I have met many of you at the last 2 meetings, but I wanted to re-introduce myself and explain my role further. I am the Activity Chairman for SIR Branch 147.
My role is to work with existing activities to ensure success and enjoyment, and to help develop new activities.
Anyone who has an idea for a possible activity, let me know and we can work together to sort out the level of interest in the group and get the activity started. I come from Branch 98 near Sacramento where we had well over 20 regular activities.
I will be setting up a happy hour for all of us to enjoy for early June!
Here are a few possible activities that would be easy to set up. Please let me know if you would be interested in any of the following:
-Breakfast group- meeting at a local restaurant/bakery 1-2 mornings/month.
-Burger lunch group- meet monthly to find the best burger in our area -Cycling group- 1-2 laps around Lake Miramar -Photo group- meet monthly to improve and enjoy our cell phone photography -Neil Farber has an idea for a writing group.
I’m sure you all have other great ideas. Please send me your thoughts.
