Yarry here in charge of museum and factory tour visits. Our Amazon Fulfillment Center tour this week was a great success and here is the follow up adventure:

On Wednesday April 29th I have booked a tour, tentatively for 20 people, at 11:00am at the Eagle and High Peak Gold Mine in Julian: 2320 C Street, San Diego, CA 92036. This is approximately a one hour tour that will involve a half mile of walking underground in what was the third biggest gold mine in the region from when Julian was started. It dates back to 1870. You get to see all aspects of the mining operation, and even get a chance to pan for gold if you are interested. It is about a one hour drive to get there from Scripps Ranch and I will once again encourage car pooling when we get closer to the date. I can fit three people in my car as a starting point and will drive. Wives and spouses are welcome to join once again. Just please let me know who is interested. Cost of the tour is $19/ person. I have also made a reservation for 12:30pm for 20 people at the Rongbranch Restaurant in Julian, which is one of the oldest restaurants in town. It is located at: 2722 Washington St., Julian, CA 92036. It has a nice menu and is affordably priced with great food.
